Bowman’s Earthmoving own, operate and maintain a fleet of late model John Deere Tractors and Scoops. The tractors are the largest commercially available tractors on the market. Boasting 620HP, these machines run low emission, Tier 4 Cummins 15L Engines, or Caterpillar C18 Engines. The scoop/laser bucket or technical name being drawn scraper, have capacities of 16-18m3 for single scraper systems up to 36.6m3 for tandem scraper systems, which are Trimble GPS controlled for autosteering and levelling for precise earthmoving solutions.

Historically, conventional scrapers were the bulk earthmovers in the industry, but with an advancement of technology, along with larger scoop capacities, tractors with drawn scrapers are the future for all bulk earthmoving requirements. There are many reasons that our tractor and drawn scraper can provide cost and time beneficial solutions to your project over conventional scraper systems.

Key comparative advantages of our equipment are:

• Trimble GPS controlled systems reduce/eliminate the cost and requirement of surveyors
• Trimble Vertical Point GPS System has a +-4mm accuracy which reduces/eliminates the cost and requirement for graders to final trim
• GPS Autosteering allows highly accurate and neat operation of the machine on curved and straight lines, ensuring no overlap of areas to maximise efficiency
• GPS systems showing cut to fill area maps to ensure economical in-cab decision making on best practise earthmoving
• GPS Levelling control allows accurate nominal depths of excavation within 5mm intervals, also allowing nominal fill depths to ensure the correct amount of material is filled for the ideal watering and compacting methods and to maintain the required construction standards 
• 620hp tractors have the ability to self load the scraper system within 5-10 seconds
• Single drawn scrapers have similar capacity of a 623 conventional scraper
• Tandem drawn scrapers have a larger capacity than a 657 conventional scraper while only requiring a single engine with lower fuel consumption and emissions
• Cushion hitch technology on the tractors to ensure safe and efficient long hauls
• Hydracushion technology on the tractors have a cushion effect on the front axle provide the smoothest conditions for the operator and reduce any possibility of onsite operating injuries
• 4.5m wide, 8 tyred, dual wheels have a larger footprint than conventional scrapers allowing the machine to carry out bulk earthmoving to final trim easily on 3:1 batters without any concern for machine rollover
• Single scoop systems are 4.5m wide and have scarifying ability to be able to rip materials for any requirement of ground surface treatment or to assist in loading the scoops, reducing the requirement of graders/dozers
• Scoops design having a cross-level function allowing excavation to be completed on cross-level and grade
• Low maintenance, auto greasing equipment allow for full 24/7 production capability
• Ability to travel on local and government roads, under conditional registration and annual National Heavy Vehicle Register permits reduces/eliminates any mobilisation or demobilisation costs for our clients depending on the distance of travel
  
  

We have available a 320 next generation excavator. This machine is coupled with leading class technology utilising Trimble's fully automatic 3D GPS system.
